HPS Recorder Program 2019 – STUDENT CONCERT 9 DECEMBER!
INAUGURAL HPS RECORDER RECITAL
On Monday 9 December, students who learn recorder at HPS will be performing in an exciting NEW event, the Summer Recorder Recital.
As we stand and play music to the best of our ability, we will once again demonstrate the enormous personal benefits of an authentic in-school arts program such as the HPS recorder program.
This new event will take place DURING SCHOOL HOURS, within the session immediately after lunch, in HPS’s BER. Parents and families are very welcome to attend if available during the working day. In addition, the audience will comprise INVITED FRIENDS—that is to say, OTHER STUDENTS from HPS. The concert is due to commence at 2 pm and conclude at 2.30 approx.
It will be great to share our music making with other specially invited HPS students as well as any family members who can make it!
Would your child enjoy learning to play recorder?

Re-enrolments: Current students, if you have not returned your form but would like to continue recorder in 2020, please return it direct to the tutor as soon as possible to allow for planning.
New enrolments: If you may be interested, please pick up an information sheet from the School Office. To apply, please return your completed form direct to the tutor by 6.12.19.

HPS RECORDER STUDENTS at CAROLS NIGHT
All recorder students are reminded to bring their recorder equipment to play at Carols Night, Monday 9 December. Please meet Fiona near the stage by 6:40 pm with only your recorders and music—please leave your bags with your families.
Would parents of students in Senior Recorder Ensemble meet Fiona at the stage at 6.30 pm and then, again straight after our performance to help with music stands, please? Many, many thanks!
Happy music making!
