Meet the Staff- Elise Moorhouse

 

What is your role at Concord School? 

Secondary9/10 Classroom Teacher.

Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School: Making sure I have a cup of tea to start my day! Encouraging my students, planning lessons that I hope students will find interesting, responding to all sorts of questions and queries.

 

What do you love most about working at Concord School? The people. The staff and students here are really lovely. The staff in particular, are very supportive and have helped me settle in. 

Favourite Food: Italian

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Disney Movies

Favourite music: I’m very broad with my music tastes. I like Pink though because she is always trying new things in her music.

Things I dislike the most: People who are not inclusive.

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: 

I do dance classes and singing lessons in my spare time. 

Favourite Sporting Team/Athlete: 

I’m not really into sport, but I’m a Richmond supporter under penalty of disownment from my gran! 

If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why? 

My grandpa, I would love to talk to him again. Dame Judi Dench as I think she’d have some great stories about the heyday of theatre in London. Pink because I’d love to have a sing with her!

Meet the Staff- Gary Bell

 

What is your role at Concord School? 

I am an ES and work in the Secondary 11/12 section. 

 Provide us with a ‘snapshot’ into your daily routine at Concord School: Normally in by 8am and make Patrick’s coffee extra hot. Then I generally put some washing away before the students arrive. Each day is different but supporting our students with any help they need, whether it’s class based or when outside the school. Thursday’s we are at Mill Park Bunnings, so come down for a snag. 

 

What do you love most about working at Concord School? Feeling like you are making a difference to someone’s life and having some banter with the students about my footy team.

Favourite Food: Mmm Hamburgers 

Favourite Movie/TV Show: Pitch Perfect 1/2/3 & Forrest Gump

Favourite music: Hanson/Spice Girls/Savage Garden/Amy Shark

Things I dislike the most: People that can’t spell the word lose. It’s only one O people. 

Hidden Talent or Something We May Not Know About You: 

An accomplished singer. Have won a few Karaoke competitions. 

Favourite Sporting Team/Athlete: North Melbourne/Shane Warne

If You Could Pick Any 3 People as Dinner Guests, Who Would They Be and Why? 

Anna Kendrick, Amy Shark and Jason Coningsby.

Anna and Amy because I am really fond of their respective talents. Jase because I have the best boss.

Uniform Shop

Concord School Uniform Shop will continue to operate throughout the term by appointment only if a fitting is required.  We will continue taking orders via phone/email/hand delivered form.

 

All orders will be sent home with your child. If there are any issues with the order such as sizing, we will be happy to provide an exchange. Any exchanges must be made completed within 1 month of purchasing and proof of purchase must be shown.

Newsletter: Term 2, Friday 6 May, 2022

 

Dear Parents/ Guardians and staff, 

 

The first week at OSHC has comprised many and varied activities. The theme was ‘First Week Fun’ and in keeping with the theme children enjoyed playing group games such as Poison Ball, 4 Corners, Octopus, and music choreography. In addition to the aforementioned – children prepared and baked delicious ANZAC biscuits to acknowledge ANZAC day that occurred on Monday. Perennial activities such as Hot Wheels play, and Train Track construction also occurred. An enjoyable week was had by all at OSHC!
