Library and Readers

Today, we will be providing additional readers to most children (pending availability). You may find that your child has two packs of readers rather than one when they come home this afternoon. This is to enable you to have plenty of reading material for next week and the school holiday break. Readers will not be changed over next week.

Library borrowing will not be available in the coming days for classes, however children are able to return books any day. On Wednesday next week, we will give all classes in Rec to Year 5 the opportunity to borrow up to 6 library books for the holidays to make up for this little pause in borrowing. (Seniors will borrow on Tuesday next week).

COVID-19 Guidelines and Restrictions

Last week I mentioned that there have been only a few changes to COVID guidelines in schools. Since then, there have been some announcements from the Premier and the Chief Public Health Officer regarding vaccine mandates and notifications of classroom contacts. Please note that we will not be making any significant changes to our management of COVID-19 at St Paul in the coming days based on the recent announcements. Our site has been adhering to the Emergency Management Directions regarding the vaccine mandate prior to them being revoked, and have not changed any staffing based on the announcement last week. We will also continue to notify classes of single COVID-19 cases as we have been doing, as well as notifying when cases escalate to 5 cases and intervention occurs.

I will release an updated St Paul COVID Guidelines document at beginning of Term 2 as planned.
