2022 House Cross Country

Our College Cross-Country was held on Tuesday 3rd May. There was a sea of blue and yellow as students came dressed up, representing Jacka and Ansett Houses. It was great to see students participate and keep trying throughout the Cross Country. Students covered 1km, 3km and 5km from Foundation through to Year 12. The weather was perfect on the day, which finished with a BBQ lunch and presentations. 

Sporting days require a lot of assistance, planning and preparation so a massive thankyou to the following:

• Allan and Kylie for cooking the BBQ and organising all catering.
• VCAL students, Mr Z and Haley Smith for helping set up on the day with BBQ duties and equipment. 
• Miss Milne, Mr Pettifer, Mr Gretgrix, Mr Fowles and Joan for putting in planning, preparation and a lot of extra hours to make sure everything was going to run smoothly. 
• To all teaching and support staff who were on checkpoints around the course, marshalled students and assisted in any other way. 
• To all student helpers who supported junior runners and completed administration tasks that were required. 

Although student participation is key to this event, we do acknowledge the place getters from the day. Congratulations to these people: 

Ansett took out the College Swimming Sports but the Cross Country title belonged to Jacka, who come out on top with a comprehensive win.
