We were finally able to have our Debutante Ball last Friday night, under the Starry Night/Boho Moon.
We started our night early with some of us having to be ready as early as 2:30pm for photos.
It was great spending quality time with friends and classmates, some of whom we have been friends with since Preps.
The boys spent all afternoon playing video games whilst the girls kept their make-up in check whilst complaining about sore feet in heels.
We battled the rain running under umbrellas to and from the KLC for our group photos.
We had the best chaperones Mr G, Mr Pettifer, Mr Fowles, Miss Graham & Miss Milne who helped us look our best and hold our dresses up and umbrellas whilst we ran through puddles.
We had a great night dancing with no one forgetting their dance moves and no one had any outfit malfunctions. We danced the Balmoral Blues, the Cha Cha Medley, Evening Three Step and with our special people the Chicago Swing.
We had a bit of fun with our special dance with the girls’ wearing feather bowers and the boys wearing hats. Once they got them on never took them off.
We had some great fun dancing, after the official presentation was over, with friends and family. Some were still dancing when Mr Lockhart turned the lights on indicating it was time to finish.
We would like to thank our chaperones, Mr Lockhart for doing a great job being MC, the Parents Association for running the night and feeding us, Di Roberts for making sure all the boys suits fitted and last but not least Dede Williams, our superstar Dance Instructor.
