Snapshot of Learning in Grade 1

The teachers at St Simon’s are well aware of the huge benefits of students engaging in hands-on learning. In the early years, it is essential for children to have opportunities to engage in kinaesthetic learning where they can absorb themselves in activities and gain a comprehensive understanding of various Mathematical concepts.

When teachers facilitate hands-on, kinaesthetic activities, they are creating engaging and exciting ways for children to master concepts and develop deeper understandings. Our Grade 1 teachers are always including hands-on learning in their Mathematical lessons.

Our wonderful Grade 1 teachers this year are Ms Philly Tartlinton (Level Leader), Mrs Brianna Gill, Ms Emma Tiberi and Ms Lee-ann Kupiec.
