Year 11 Studies of Religion - 1 Unit

The blended and accelerated Studies of Religion 1 Unit Course has been completed for this year, with our Students all sitting their HSC Exam during this last week. We are delighted with the collective learnings of the group, who have demonstrated the capacity to work together to achieve their very best in this course, right up until the Exam. Mrs Bright, Mrs Streckfuss, Mrs Fellows, Mrs Lutze, Mrs Sadler and Mrs Gill wish to thank and commend this cohort on their determination and achievements. We look forward to sharing your results in the coming months.

Year 9

Recently students completed a unit of work on the New Testament, students created Children’s Storybooks based on the Gospel teachings of Jesus which they read to year 1 and 2 Mater Dei Primary students. It was a wonderful experience for everybody involved.

Year 10

Our year 10 students completed the unit of Mary and the Saints, where student investigated why Mary is such an important model of faith for the Catholic Church. Students also researched the Saints and significant Christians. Year 10 is currently focusing on Church history, Ecumenism and Australian Religious Adherence.
