Joeys Yarning Space
We acknowledge and pay respect to the traditional custodians,
past and present of this land of the Aniawan, Banbai, Dunghatte,
Jukambal, Kambawal, Weraera, Kamilaroi, Ngoogabrul and Gumbaynggir as acknowledged by Armidale Lands Council, people who long before us lived,
loved and raised their children on this land.
We also acknowledge all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families
in our community and acknowledge their deep physical
and spiritual connections to the land.
" Yaama maylia, I hope you all had a safe and happy Easter break and reconnected with your loved ones.
Towards the end of term, all the students from K-6 started designing their major show art piece, every detail their own and done entirely by them. Their artwork is a representation of how we as a school community are coming together to "bridge the gap" to be stronger and nurture our relationships with each other, every dot is a finger print, every brushstroke done with care and a beautiful rainbow serpent designed by Charlie and beautiful words of connection from lewis.
I am extremely proud of them all and their dedication to this project and can't wait to see it on display at the upcoming show. Yaluu"
