Healthy Lunchbox Week

Anson Street School has taken part in Healthy Lunchbox Week this week. Healthy Lunchbox Week is a Nutrition Australia initiative that helps families access lunchbox information and recipes setting them up for the year ahead.

Around one-third of children’s daily food intake comes from the lunchbox so it’s important we make it count. Kids are much more willing to explore new foods when they have helped to prepare or to cook it. So get them involved in making their lunches, trying new lunch recipes or sandwich ideas.

If your child has a limited range of accepted foods, this is a great activity to get them more comfortable around new and unfamiliar foods.

Build your bank of lunchbox inspiration with Nutrition Australia’s healthy lunchbox information and recipes http://www.healthylunchboxweek.org.au/
