Foundation Food Fun

 

Students in Foundation made Vegetable Parcels, and learnt that they need 5 serves of vegetables a day. They all enjoyed making and eating their Vegetable Parcels.

 

Fermentation Elective

Students have continued using the Fermentation process to make Focaccia and Hot Cross Buns. The students have been able to develop their skills in making a variety of products.

 

Cafe Culture Elective

 

Students in Café culture did a comparison and sensory analysis of Chocolate Chip Cookies. Students produced biscuits using a commercial cookie dough, another using a recipe with reduced sugar (artificial sweeteners), and the third group a Homemade Regular Chocolate Cookies.

 

 

The students completed the sensory analysis and were all in agreeance that the Homemade Chocolate Chip cookie was by far the best!

 

 

 

 

This week students designed and prepared their own savoury scroll. Students have been developing their skills and working together to produce their products.
