School and Kindergarten PFA Meeting

The next PFA meeting will be held Thursday 7th November 2019 in the staffroom at 2.20pm.  We would like to invite all parents to come along, partake in afternoon tea, have a cuppa, meet some new friends and share your ideas.  Could existing committee members please bring along someone new to the meeting.  Toddlers most welcome.

Bingo/Parma Fundraiser – Tuesday 29th October

Our next fundraiser is a bingo/parma night, with $5 per parma and half of bingo book sales coming straight back to the PFA.

What:        Bingo

Where:     Ballarat Bingo Centre at Midlands Golf Club

Time:         Doors open 7pm, Eyes Down 7:45pm

Cost:          $6 per voucher (exchange for bingo books on the night)

Where:     Midlands Golf Club

Time:         6pm

Cost:          $22 includes parma, chips and salad and drink (beer, wine or soft drink) ($5 back to PFA)

SpringFest Ballarat – Sunday 24th November

As beneficiaries of SpringFest Ballarat, Miners Rest Primary School and Kindergarten need to provide the Market Sunday with volunteers.  We are now asking for volunteers to help out in 3-hour blocks on Sunday 24th November from 6am-6pm. If you can help, please leave your details on the volunteer roster at the School Office. 

Details:

  • Sunday 24th November;
  • Area P – next to Piper’s Restaurant and going around to the Olympic Rings;
  • We will require volunteers in 3 hour blocks from 6am-6pm;
  • No experience necessary – simply guiding people if they are looking for a particular area/toilet/lost, picking up rubbish/emptying bins.

Shifts are:

  • 6am-9am (5 volunteers)
  • 9am-12pm (3 volunteers)
  • 12pm-3pm (3 volunteers)
  • 3pm-close/all cleaned up (5 volunteers)
