Door Wars to celebrate Book Week

While the students celebrated Book Week earlier in the term, dressing in character costumes and celebrating the CBCA Book Week nominated books, that wasn't the end of Book Week for 2022.

During the last few weeks our Book Week celebrations took a competitive turn as classes decorated their doors with a book theme in the hope to be crowned 'Best Door' in the school. Students painted, cut and designed their ultimate door, celebrating favourite books, authors, themes or classroom novels. Not to be left out of the fun, the office staff got involved too demonstrating their creativity.

Classes have been touring the school over the past week looking at the fantastic designs on offer, and voting for their favourite door. With the competition wide open, and no clear favourite in sight - just who will win the Magill School Door Wars Competition for 2022.... we can't wait to announce the winning doors in the next edition of the newsletter!

“We really liked walking around the school to see all of the different doors. They were awesome. When we got to F2 and F3, we could hold our devices over all of the QR codes on the students work and then we heard a voice recording for each piece of work. The students of F2 and F3 recorded interesting information about the book that they read. It really made us want to read that book. They used the Vocaroo voice recording program. It was so cool. We are excited to see who the winners will be in week 10”. By the students of P15.
