Lost Property

Coming to the end of term an enormous number of lost articles are in Student Admin. Our admin staff do a great job of returning items when named. Sadly, most lost items have no name or naming has faded and is illegible. If your son has lost shoes, socks, water bottles, lunch boxes etc please encourage him to visit Student Admin and look for lost property. Naming all necessary school items will alleviate much of the problem.

Term 4 Summer Uniform Requirements

The boys will be returning in Term 4 wearing their summer uniform. Boys in Years 5 to 11 will wear the College grey short-sleeved shirt and shorts/trousers, whilst the Year 12 students will continue to wear their blue long-sleeved shirts with a tie and shorts/trousers. For details regarding the Uniform Shop, please see the Uniform Shop News section of this newsletter.

Year 12 Safer Schoolies Presentation

Today in their ASH lesson the Year 12s had a Queensland government-sponsored safer schoolies presentation. The presentation covered key messages for what is often a great time of celebration and activities. The presenters spoke about staying safe, relationships and well-being, and rights and responsibilities. All students attending schoolie-based events were encouraged to use the organisation website link (as below) to register their name on the ‘Wristband hub’. This allows free access to major events and activities during this time.

The website link also contains important information and advice for parents.

Our College captain, Ethen Tsiamalili in conclusion thanked the presenters and reminded the cohort of lessons learnt about inclusivity and respect taught to them in their time at Marist.
