STUDENT LEADERSHIP
School for Student Leadership – Community Learning Project
Seven of our Year 9 students spent Term 2 at Haining Farm in the Don Valley participating in the School for Student Leadership. Part of this program includes a Community Learning Project.
The students decided to involve themselves in a project supporting families escaping from domestic violence. They recently spent an afternoon at the Impact for Women warehouse, packing items to support these families.
In early Term 4 they will also conduct a sausage sizzle fundraiser for this organisation. I want to congratulate these students for their practical commitment to supporting vulnerable families.
