National Aerobics Championships

Fantastic Success

The Mornington Secondary College Aerobics Team achieved great successs at the National Aerobic Championships.

We had two teams compete in the Secondary Stage 2 section, the junior team, Team Pinnacle and the senior team, Team Apex. Both teams were outstanding and because of their amazing performances and hard work throughout the year, both teams placed second in the country! 

The competition was extremely tough in Team Apex’s section, they scored a whopping 91.83 and missed out on gold by .8 of a point.

The girls have worked so hard throughout the year, their efforts have been consistent, and the girls demonstrate such determination, perseverance, and school spirit.

Some more success stories from the Nationals include the amazing Dream Team who are ex-students of ours, they took out the gold medal in the Old School Aerobics section and Poppy Howarth of Year 10 also won gold in her duo. We also had three of our ex-students take out gold in the Old School Trio section, an amazing achievement!

Finally, a shout out to Bendigo Bank, Little Rebel Coffee Roastery, Hastings Panels and Point Nepean Landscape Construction for their generous sponsorship of the teams. We are hoping to continue the success of the Aerobics Program into the future so if you know of any businesses who would like to sponsor the teams, I’m all ears!
