Netball Carnival

Rachelle De Fazio, Teacher

The rain held off for a day of netball at SUNA on Friday 12 August. Students from years 7, 8, 11 and 12 played up to six games each throughout the day. Each player represented the school beautifully as they supported one another by bringing their positive and competitive spirit. The two year 7/8 teams ranged in close defeats and some successes however always stayed in high spirits. The girls listened to their dedicated coaches Georgia and Emily. Both girls have spent many lunchtimes organising teams, positions, training drills and providing good instructions.

The senior girls displayed all the school values of Respect, Care and Compassion and Honesty. By working together and ensuring everyone in the team had a good day they narrowly lost some games. They supported one another with a constant positive attitude and never gave up demonstrating the school values. Unfortunately, it was not Aberfoyle’s day.

I would sincerely like to thank the senior girls Georgia and Emily for their commitment and dedication to the netball program, Brooke for her ongoing support and participation and Tahlia for her long netball career and active support as a player/coach at Aberfoyle Park High School. Teachers Kass Holmes and Rachelle De Fazio will miss your passion and love for the game.

A big thank you to Briony Bryant, Kass Holmes and Leigh Rayner for facilitating valuable sporting opportunities at school for students to try, enjoy or display their many talents.
