Table Tennis Champions

On Friday 26 August 4 teams of students from Year 5/6 ventured to the District Table Tennis Tournament, held at Kilsyth Table Tennis Association. All students played extremely well and most students made it through to the State Level. Congratulations to Arnold, Connor, Riley, Gabi, Dani, Chanel, Mietta and Evie. We look forward to supporting you at the next Competition.

Australia Computational Thinking Challenge 2022

It’s time for Round 2 of Bebras Australia Computational Thinking Challenge 2022 and students in Years 3-6 will once again participate. Bebras is an international initiative aiming to promote informatics and engage students' computational thinking and problem solving skills in a fun, interactive environment. St  John’s began participating in Bebras in 2015. Bebras Australia is designed to be accessible and easy to use and is linked to the Victorian Digital Technologies Curriculum.

In Australia this year, Round 2 of the Bebras Challenge will take place between 29 August and 9 September. The students will participate in this online challenge in a 45 minute (Years 5 & 6) or a 60 minute (Years 3 & 4) session at school.

Literacy and Numeracy Week

Next Week at St John's we will be celebrating Literacy and Numeracy Week.

Monday - Staff Reading their favourite Picture Story Books
Tuesday - Spelling Bee for Juniors and Senior Students
Wednesday - Book Character Parade - Dress as your favourite Book Character
                        - Family maths Night
Thursday - Second Hand Book Swap
Friday - AFL Dress up Day - Footy Maths and Literacy
