SRC BAKE SALE

Don’t forget to support our SRC Bake Sale, this Monday 19 September.

If you can, we are asking families to bake something sweet and nut-free, such as cupcakes, muffins, cookies, or brownies. Please drop off goodies at the hall canteen before school.  For a gold coin, students can purchase during our first break (10.20-11.00). All profit will go to St Anthony’s International School in Dili, Timor Leste. What a great cause!

STUDENT LED CONFERENCES

Student led conferences will be taking place in Week 10 on Monday 19 September and Wednesday 21 September from 3:15pm each day. This is a great opportunity for parents and carers to see what their child has been working on at school. To book a time visit the link below.

CASUAL DRESS DAY

On Tuesday 20 September students can bring a gold coin donation and come to school dressed in casual clothes. Donations will be going to  St Anthony’s International School in Dili, Timor Leste.

LOST PROPERTY

We have many items of lost property at Reception, including jumpers, hats  and water bottles. If you think something could be yours please come and have a browse. Parents and carers are reminded to please label their child’s clothing so items can be returned to them.

WEET-BIX ACTIVE BANDS

It’s always great to see students running around and keeping active during breaks. Remember to earn Active Points and unlock extra features by scanning the bands every day for active play at home and community sport activities. Did you know that research shows only 19% of Aussie kids (5 – 17 years old) are getting the recommended 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous exercise each day? The Weet-Bix Active Bands program is a great way to help our kids move more, and more often! If your child needs a replacement active band, please contact Reception or your child’s teacher. A free replacement active band will be sent home ready to activate. For more information check out https://weetbixactivebands.com.au/.

CANTEEN

The Canteen operates every day for Break 1 and 2. To order download the School24 app and use School ID: 25137963. Please make sure to update your child's class in their profile before ordering. Orders will need to be placed by 8.00am on the day.

If your child is absent and an order has been made, please notify Reception by 9.00am. Orders can then be held over until another day or credited to your account. If we are not notified by 9.00am we cannot guarantee holding over or crediting to your account.

Mrs Lightfoot is always looking for volunteers to help in the canteen. Feel free to contact her on lwls.canteen@ntschools.net

BODY KIND YOUTH SURVEY - Student Voices Can Make a Difference

Butterfly Foundation is inviting all young people aged 12 - 18 to have their voices heard about body image. This is a chance to complete the first national survey on body image, Body Kind Youth Survey, so Butterfly can better understand the body image experiences of young Australians, get young people's views on what needs to change to create a more Body Kind Australia and advocate to the top levels of Government. The online survey is voluntary, anonymous, has ethics approval, takes approximately 15 minutes to complete, and requires parental consent for under 15's. Help Butterfly help more young people to be kinder to their body and encourage your child to take part.  They can enter the draw to win a gift voucher when they participate. To find out more and to access the survey visit: www.butterfly.org.au/bkyouthsurvey
