OATLANDS HOUSE ATHLETICS TRIALS
Congratulations to all of our Grade 3-6 students who competed in our Athletics trials on Wednesday 22nd of July in what can only be described as very trying conditions.
Our House Spirit was very much alive and to see our House Leaders and Sports Captains so passionate about their house was truly inspirational. The students have worked extremely hard in preparation for this event and should be very proud of their efforts.
As a result of these trials we now have approximately 70 students who will represent Oatlands at the Edwin Flack District Athletics on Wednesday 29th Of August. Well done and good luck to these students. We look forward to following your progress.

LOCAL SCHOOLS TO SHARE IN NEARLY $100,000 IN SPORTS GEAR

Berwick schools are expected to receive nearly $100,000 in sports gear from Coles this month after collecting more than 2.2 million vouchers at their local supermarkets through Coles’ Sports for Schools program.
Over coming weeks, Coles will deliver an extensive range of quality sports gear to around 45 local primary and secondary schools in the region. Sports gear will include popular items such as cricket and softball bats, footballs, basketballs, javelins, hockey sticks, skipping ropes, racquets, first aid kits and nets.
The local schools were among more than 7000 schools across Australia that participated in the Sports for Schools program between February and April this year by collecting over 200 million vouchers at Coles.
The local school to receive the most sporting equipment will be Oatlands Primary School after collecting more than 145,000 vouchers as part of the Sports for Schools program.
A huge thank you to all the families who shopped at Coles. We appreciate your efforts and are looking forward to receiving our new equipment.
