Emotional Wellbeing

Many things impact on the emotional wellbeing of children, teenagers and adults. It can be difficult to know how to respond to our child’s big feelings, especially when our own ‘shark music’ is triggered.  

You are welcome to get in touch with the Wellbeing Team here if you have concerns about your child (ELC-Yr 12), or situations which are impacting on your child’s wellbeing and/or engagement in learning. 

 

Below are two options which I encourage you to explore for some guidance and ideas about responding rather than reacting and managing difficult situations.

Calm Kid Central (Reception - Year 4 focus)

Calm Kid Central is not a substitute for therapy sessions, but instead can be used to help you get "in between session" support, training and ideas. Free access supported by SA Country Primary Health Networks.

 

Reach Out Parent Coaching (12-18 yrs):

Provides free one-on-one professional support for parents via telephone and online support sessions. Explore any concerns you have with your teenager and create an action plan to see real results. The service helps parents set goals – to strengthen their skills, or to address an issue with their teenager – and work on them together.
