Art Room News

Hello Wonderful RHPS Artists,

It has been a very busy week with lots of mess and fun in the art room.

The Prep students have been developing their fine motor skills by making Pout Pout Fish and using the app Fishy Paint to bring their fish to life on the art room TV. The Preps have been showing wonderful sharing skills and amazing artistic talents.

Our Grade 1/2 students are about to learn how to weave, over and under, to start creating their Indigenous inspired crocodile puppets. The art conversations at the tables are a pleasure to listen to and the students are extremely kind and helpful towards each other.

The Grade 3/4 superstars have been using ink and eye droppers to make awesome crazy hair for their wacky scientist pictures. These portraits will definitely brighten up our corridors.

Grade 5/6 are challenging themselves with using bottles of glue and paint to go over their drawing lines in preparation for some amazing oil pastel work. These abstract art pieces have many student's feeling very proud of their creations.

Have a wonderful week ahead and remember to bring in a named art smock or old shirt.....things are getting MESSY!!

Keep Creating!
