Important dates

Spanish in the F/1 classrooms

Our students have truly immersed themselves into learning Spanish these last few weeks. It has been fantastic to hear our students singing the numbers in Spanish and engaged in activities around Spanish vocabulary. 

Each week we have been lucky enough to have Imi, a Spanish education support teacher, come into our classrooms to explicitly teach Spanish vocabulary lessons. So far we have learnt about classroom objects, farm animals and body parts. I couldn't believe my ojas, when I saw how engaged the classes have been! Students have also been very motivated learning new letters and words in their Spanish dictionaries.

Care for Our Community

Two weeks ago, we started a Care for Our Community program where students join their House Colour groups to clean different areas of the school. This is a great opportunity to raise student awareness on the importance of keeping outside spaces clean and taking care of our environment. 

Each week, leaders from the 4/5/6 area run these sessions. Our F/1 students have been excited to get to know students from across the school in each house colour. It has been fantastic to see all students helping to keep our school yard clean and free of rubbish!

Meet and Greet

Thanks everyone for joining our Meet and Greet interviews on Teams yesterday. It was nice to meet you all and to get such positive feedback about how well students are settling into school. 

F/1's week in photos! 

Don't forget to regularly check Seesaw where we post lots of photos and videos throughout the day! It is a great way to get an insight into our classrooms and start conversations with your child about their learning. 

Bike Education

Bike Education starts next week. Students are to bring their bikes and helmets on their specialist day, Tuesday - (Luisa, Brenna, Angelica and Sonya) or Wednesday -(Jess, Jacqui, Sergio and Sophia) and park them behind C Block. This is the block with the library and OHSC block.
