So good to be back!!!

Year 3/4 Excursion

On Tuesday, the years 2, 3 and 4 went to the Animal Land. We saw lots of different farm animals. We milked a big 7 year old cow called Pip. In the nursery, we held soft, fluffy rabbits and guinea pigs and there were also young chickens in there with soft brown feathers.    By Michael, Bhavin and  Andrianna.

When we went to animal land, we were excited to see animals and how they looked. All of us were excited to milk a cow named Pip. Pip was 7 years old and she was 'humongous' and on her back, she had ribs sticking out. All of us were excited to ride a pony named Snowflake and she was 13 and very shy. We had to wear a helmet when we rode her. Some of us wore black helmets and some of us wore white helmets. When we finished, we went to see a pond that was green and red.  Then we went to see chickens, guinea pigs, and rabbits/bunnies - they were adorable. They were all soft, fluffy and kind towards us. We all got a turn to hold them all. Farmer Sara would hold them so we could pat them. We got to play some farm games like Farmer Sam and the egg and spoon race. After some lunch, we went on the tractor and when we arrived at our destination, we got pallets from Farmer Sarah and fed the alpacas and sheep and deer. By Enock and  Connor

We had a very lovely time at the farm, and our favourite part of the excursion was going to the nursery to see the baby animals. There were chickens, guinea pigs, and bunnies. We held the guinea pigs and bunnies first, then we held the fluffy chickens. They were so fluffy and cute, there were different colours like white, black, and brown. One of the guinea pigs had red eyes. Some of the baby animals ran away and went under the benches and it was so funny to see!!! We had so much fun and wish we could go there again! I loved it when Pip the cow went mooooo and  banged the door with her head. I loved it when she tried to get out of the shed and when she scratched her head on the pole. I loved it when we were in the playground and Pip was hiding. By Alex and Rahim

On Tuesday we went on an excursion to Animal Land at Diggers Rest. It was a great excursion! My favorite part of the day was going to the nursery and holding all the baby animals like the rabbits, chickens and guinea pigs. It was really fun holding them and playing with them. They were all really fluffy. The chicken's legs were really strong so my friend Chen gave me some advice, to put each of the animals in my hat so they didn’t hurt me. It worked. By Aryan

The first thing we did when got to at the farm was riding the pony named Snowflake. She was so much fun to ride but it was a bit of a bumpy ride. You got to pat Snowflake when you got off her back. She felt so soft and fluffy. By Mia and Yash

Our favorite part from the farm excursion was the nursery because we got to cuddle baby animals. They had bunnies, guinea pigs and chicks. They were super fluffy and were all different colours. They were very cute and we wish we could have taken one home.

Yesterday we went to Animal Land and milked a black cow called Pip. It felt weird holding and squeezing the teat to get the milk. Pip was given food to stand still while we were milking her. We didn't get to drink milk because it was dirty with hair and dirt. The baby rabbit with its sharp claws, left a mark on my left arm. We got to hold the cute fluffy baby animals. There were rabbits, guinea pigs and chickens. By Roery and Jasmine

I got to hold a baby rabbit, it was really soft, cute and also cuddly. It was a little jumpy. The tractor and trailer ride was bumpy. I also saw lots of animals. It was fun. By Elwin and Maxie

Ponies are small horses. We rode a pony called Snowflake, it was fun. We heard the pony saying 'Nay'. Ponies gallop very fast. Ponies eat grass and hay and have brown, white and black hair. Snowflake was soft and smooth. I had fun on Snowflake, wouldn't you. She had a little horse friend, called Sally. Sally is a brown pony and is soft and smooth like Snowflake. By Lauren and Jacob

We went to Animal Land. The Alpacas tickled me when I was feeding him. The Alpaca was very hairy and had hair falling over his eyes. He definitely needed a haircut. His hair was long, fluffy and soft. The Goats had horns between 5 and 20 cm long. The goats were brown and white. They were smooth and some goats had a fluffy beard. By Fortunato and Roman.

When we saw the cows at Animal Land, we learnt how to do milk Pip the cow. She felt soft and a bit rough and she was very big. So you have to pull the teat hard and squeeze it hard and the milk will come out. It was fun to milk the cow. By Adam and Aleisha

The ponies were beautiful. When we had a ride on the pony, we were so so excited. It felt fluffy and kind of rough. I felt a little bit scared because I thought that it would go fast. By Isabella and Gail

The chickens felt soft and smooth. The chicken say 'chip, chip, chip'. We got to hold the chicken and I was excited and nervous at the same time. The chicken ate a bug. We also saw some eggs the chickens had laid. By Harper and Stephanie

At Animal Land, the bunnies felt soft and looked cute. The guinea pigs felt cool and soft. Last of all, the chickens felt scratchy and rough. All these animals were from the Nursery. By Veer and Zara
