Technology and Applied Studies

Week 6 was packed with student and teacher development in the TAS area. Mr Steman and myself (Mrs McMeekin) attended a Personal Development Day run by the University of Newcastle’s Science and Engineering Challenge Team. The workshop established the fundamentals of coding using robotics, allowing us to step through activities that can be adapted to the classroom. Experiencing coding through the use of LEGO Mindstorms and EV3 robots was great fun and challenging!

Coding isn't as hard as you think! You just need to gain confidence!
