Visual Arts

In Art this week the Grade 5 and 6 students are continuing their work on their quilt square. Some students are combing fabric paint and embroidery to create their square. They should be finished by the end of term and we can’t wait to see the results of their endeavors.

Grade 3 and 4 are continuing with their weaving and really enjoying it. We will share the finished product in the next Newsletter.

Grade 1 and 2 made some beautiful multi media Seagull artworks which are on display outside the Office. We read the book Chip the Seagull by Kylie Howarth as our inspiration. They are now working on a new artwork about seahorses. Watch this space!

Foundation are getting into the swing of working in the Art Room. This week we painted colour wheels. Next week we will turn them into snails.
