GASTRO BUGS

WHAT TO DO WHEN YOUR CHILD HAS/HAD GASTRO.

We have had several students and staff sick with a most unpleasant gastro bug recently.

1. If your child is unwell, they should not attend school until 24 hours after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea.

2. Students who have had this type of illness cannot swim for two (2) weeks after the last bout of vomiting or diarrhoea. This is because the bacteria can remain in the body's system after the symptoms have subsided and be spread in the water.
