Athletics Carnival

On Tuesday the 22nd of February, CESC held our annual Athletics Carnival at Casey Fields Regional Athletics center.

Students competed in a range of events including:

  • Field events: discus, shot put, long jump, triple jump, high jump
  • Track events: 100 m, 200 m, 400 m, 800 m, house relays

Throughout the day when not competing in events, our students enjoyed a range of non-athletics activities such as: karaoke, face painting, mini golf, jenga, checkers and connect 4. Karaoke and face painting were both extremely popular throughout the day, with massive lines and student helpers getting involved.

It was great to see the students dress up in their house colours for the day, with the year 12’s running a best-dressed competition.

Overall, the day was a success. Students who have made it to the division stage will be informed over the next few weeks.

Swimming Trials

CESC’s swimming trials will be held this Thursday the 3rd of March. Students who were interested in competing had to sign up for the day.

Students will get to compete in events such as: breaststroke, backstroke, freestyle and butterfly. The fastest swimmer per age group, per event will be sent through to the division stage which is being held on Thursday 10th of March at Noble Park Aquatic Centre.

Good luck swimmers!
