Chairman’s Report

Over the coming Newsletters we would like to introduce the Board, what it represents and who the members are and the responsibilities entrusted to them.

 

The Board structure is comprised to give a good cross of the schools community and representatives for past students, current student’s parents, parents or past students with specific skill sets that can assist the Board in advice and guidance.

 

You will see by the representatives listed below that the Board is well represented in many areas to support the management and the school.

 

The Advisory Board structure is composed of:

  • President of the Canonical Administrators – Parish Priest
  • The Principal
  • A staff representative
  • Representative form the Parents & Friends Association
  • Honourary Accountant
  • Three based on qualifications and /or skill set – preferably past students
  • Current parent

In this newsletter, I would like to introduce you to the Board Members and their role within the Board.

 

President of the ACA – Fr Brendan Lane

Principal – Tim Hogan

Chairman – Andrew Schoenmaekers – joined in 2016 – Honourary Accountant and Alumni

Deputy Chair – Tony Biviano – joined in 2018 – Marketing skills and Alumni

Maria Nasioulas – joined in 2015 - Staff representative

Chris Sikora – joined 2016 – current Parent representative

Cathy Pascal – joined in 2018 – Current parent and P&F representative

 Chris Richardson – joined 2019 – Past student – Building and Projects skills 

Andrew Jorissen – joined 2020 – Current Parent – Music skills

 

The responsibilities of the Board include to promote the Catholic ethos of the school and to support the religious education programs, provide advice on the development and review of school policies, plan for the future of the school and its ability to accommodate future enrolments, provide advice on budget planning and finance related matters,  sponsor a comprehensive curriculum to meet the needs of the community,  maintain, plan, implement and evaluate the oversight of building programs, to consult appropriately with various diocesan and civil authorities and manage and maintain oversight of the College’s finances.

 

As you can see there is plenty to do and over the next newsletters we will give you insight to the individuals on the Board and the things that interest them and why they want to be on the Board.
