Assessment and Reporting
We are very proud of all of the wonderful learning that has been evident in our school throughout the first term and during our home learning period in term 2. Each year at this time, we provide a comprehensive snapshot of your child's learning including a written report, Parent/Teacher meeting and Seesaw learning samples. Through these platforms we celebrate and reflect on the learning strengths and areas of needs for your child.
1. Written reports will be sent home on Thursday 18th June.
2. Parent/Teacher Meetings
Grades 3-6: Due to the restrictions Parent/Teacher meetings were held online via Google Meets during week 9. This was an opportunity for teachers, parents and students to have a short conversation about how students have coped during the home learning period, their academic progress, focus areas for the future and any questions or observations parents may have.
Grade Prep-2: Due to the restrictions it is not possible to have Parent/Teacher meetings face to face. Teachers will continue to keep in touch with families via phone and Seesaw until then end of the term. When the restrictions ease we will schedule face to face Parent/Teacher meetings for students in Prep - 2.
3. Seesaw has been used throughout the semester to provide ongoing feedback and sharing of learning on a regular basis.
Through the above reporting modes and additionally through parent meetings, emails, phone conversations and incidental feedback we strive to ensure that parents gain an in-depth understanding of the progress and growth their child has achieved throughout semester 1.
