2020 Eaglehawk Dahlia and Arts Festival The Lola Miller Student Film Competition

Congratulations to all Girton ICT 3-4 students who entered their short films into the Dahlia Arts Film Festival section this year.

This year’s theme, "Over the Bridge," is a lead up to a celebration of 50 years for this major community event in Bendigo. Films entered were part of student’s assessment for competency in producing video presentations in their VET ICT 3-4 scored assessment task work.

Mr Laurie Preston, the film committee and the Lola Miller trust fund organise and run the film festival section each year for Bendigo students providing opportunities and a scholarship. Students from Girton Grammar School, Bendigo Senior School, Victory Christian College and Catherine McAuley College participated to make the event a success.

Mr Preston visited Girton and spoke with students, Mrs Robyn Kristenson ( Head of VET) and Mr Phillips VET ICT teacher and thanked them for their support and made presentations to the students. Each ICT 3-4 student received a prize certificate and $100 each for their entry and participation.
