The Tally Way

Wellbeing

Over the past three weeks, the year 6 students have participated in Rhythms of Resilience.

The three day program, based on the work of Simon Faulkner’s Rhythm2Recovery, uses drums to explore identity alongside personal and group therapy.

Rhythms of Resilience focused on the GEM (gratitude, empathy, mindfulness) model from the Resilience Project to assist with the reintegration of students back into the school environment and support their overall wellbeing given the disruptions of COVID-19.

The program provided both students and teachers with simple strategies and a common language around resilience, and supported the development of their personal and social capabilities.

Thank you to Chris and Bryce from the Tallebudgera Outdoor and Environmental Education centre.

It was an amazing experience for all our year 6 students.

Have a great day, The Tally Way
