WEATHER AND THE SEASONS

In Foundation over the last few weeks we have been looking at the weather and the seasons, particularly as we are entering the new Wurundjeri season – The Guling (Orchid) or Tangbilk Ningak (Morning Frost and Bark Harvest). As part of this we have been observing the flowering of the Muyan (Silver Wattle). We also created mushroom art and have been looking at the calendar and counting down the days.

In English and Mathematics we have been exploring and enjoying all the stories we hear in Foundation. We have also been exploring numbers with Numicon and talking about one more and one less.
