Wellbeing

Staff, Students and our school community come together every July to celebrate NAIDOC Day.  This year NAIDOC day was held on Thursday July 25th. We would like to thank the Healing Foundation for the grant of $700 allocated to our school to support this event.

Aunty Lee Couch led our students and teachers to learn and understand the practice Wayapa. Based on ancient Indigenous knowledge and wisdom that focuses on taking care of the Earth as the starting point for healing ourselves. https://wayapa.com/

Groups participated in an hour session focusing on ways the to heal our minds and bodies using this practice.

Aboriginal people have always known that the earth does not belong to us, we belong to it… we need to re-balance this world by connecting back into it so that we can energise it and in return, it will energise and sustain us.”
