Secondary Sport

School sport for the remainder of the term will be the secondary house competition with students participating in a rotation of different activities and games each week. Students are reminded to bring a hat and water bottle.

Well done to all swimmers who attended the Armidale Diocesan Selections trials in Moree in week 7. Congratulations to Hugh Gibson, Hunter Hollis, Tom Gibson and Sophie Mijic who have qualified for the NSWCCC carnival in Sydney next week.

The diocesan touch trials were postponed last week and will now be held next term.

Good luck to the following students attending the under 15 diocesan rugby league trials in Tamworth tomorrow: Jake House, Connor Putzolu, Campbell Watchirs, Darcy Brennan, Cam Sparke-Gaukroger, Sebastian Pianko, Beau White and Sam Lavender.

Good luck to the girls league-tag teams playing in the local gala day on Wednesday in Inverell.

Primary Sport

This week students from Year 3-6 will continue class rotations through a variety of activities for sport. As part of the rotation this week, one class will be going Ten Pin Bowling at ‘Shake, Rattle and Roll’ and another is going to King Fit. This week it is 3/4D are going to King Fit ($3.50) and 3/4W will go bowling ($7.50).

Diocesan Winter Trials

On Friday we have 31 students going to the Winter Trials in Inverell for Hockey, League, Soccer and Netball. Good luck to all of the children. A reminder, that it is up to students to get their own way to the complex or Kamilaroi Oval (League) by 9:00am. Students should be in full school sports uniform and protective gear should be worn in Hockey, League and Soccer. Canteens will be available at all venues. Please make sure your child has plenty of sunscreen and water. Hockey players need to pay $3 on the day for use of the Turf ground. If trials are cancelled due to wet weather students will be notified Thursday afternoon and a message will be posted through Skool Bag. The back-up date is Monday 27 March.

Year 2 -6 Cross Country

The annual School Cross Country will be held on Friday 7 April at the Inverell Sports Complex. Students from Year 2 to 6 will compete. Year 2 will run 1km, 9 & 10 year olds will run 2km and 11, 12 & 13 year olds will run 3km. More information will go home over the next few weeks.
