School Sport

Elective Sports continue this week and run for the remainder of the term. Students will be doing one of the following: Proactive Gym $4.00, Indoor Sports $4.00, Road 2 Victory CrossFit $5.00, Lawn bowls, Cricket and School Sport.

All students are reminded to bring a drink bottle and a hat. Students going to Pro-Active Gym and Road 2 Victory CrossFit are required to bring a towel.

Diocesan Cricket

Holy Trinity played against St Philomena's Moree in their first game of the season last Thursday. Batting first Trinity scored 5/135 from their 20 overs with Jake House (47) and Nick Page (37)  top scoring with the bat. In reply St Philomena's were bowled out for 113 in the 19th over. Sam Frazier, Jake House, Nick Page and Matt de Gunst all took 2 wickets each and were well supported by Charlie Harris and Darcy Brennan who both took a wicket each. Well done to Mr Uebergang and the team. Thank you to the parents for your support on the day and assisting with travel. The next game will be against O'Connor Catholic College on 22 November at Cameron Park Inverell. 

NIAS Basketball

Congratulations to Cory McLelland who was selected in the U15's NIAS Basketball team in Tamworth last week. Cory will now attend training once a month in Tamworth and the travel to Sydney in February for training, games and to watch an NBL match. Cory will then attend the Academy Games which will be held in April 2019 in Newcastle. Well done.

K-6 Sport

Stage 1 King Fit Sessions

On Friday 1/2M will continue their King Fit sessions. Please pay your child’s classroom teacher on a weekly basis. Students will be transported by bus to and from the centre. Please label your child’s shoes and socks as these are removed while participating in activities at the centre. 

Year 1 Swimming

Year 1 students will continue their swimming at the pool this week. They will go to the pool by bus from 1:45pm – 3:00pm. Students are to come to school in their full school uniform and get changed at lunch or snack. If they prefer they may wear their swimmers underneath their uniform. Sports uniform should not be worn. All gear needs to be labelled, including their uniform, undies and socks. Please send their swimming gear in a separate bag to their schoolbag so as this can be taken with them to the pool. Students will need goggles (if possible), towel, thongs and swimmers (if not wearing them on the day). 

Year 3-6 Sport – Term 4

This term student’s will participate in a variety of sports at school and rotate each week. In Weeks 6-10 they will go swimming. Further information will go out later in the term.
