CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Year of Youth Cross Visit
This week all students will encounter the YOY cross. It has been set up in the PAC Drama room, and all classes are spending some RE time reflecting on the symbolism of the cross and making some drawings of the beautiful wood carvings.
The YOY cross is making a pilgrimage to all schools and parishes in our diocese, as a tangible reminder that this year has been designated as the Year of Youth by the Catholic Church: to inspire us all with its call to reflect on our beautiful diocese, and discern how we can answer God's call to spread his love to the world.
The cross will stay with us until Friday, when it will be packed up and transported to Dundee for a handover to St Joseph's Tenterfield.
Year 6 Mass
There is no school mass or liturgy at Sacred Heart Church for the next two weeks. Our next school mass will be for our Year 6 students, celebrating the end of their Primary school journey at Holy Trinity School. This will be held at 9.15am on Wednesday November 22. Parents and Grandparents of Year 6 students are invited to join us for the mass, which will be followed by morning tea at SHC.
Prayer Celebrations
Year 3/C will celebrate the sacrament of Reconciliation on Thursday in the AV room.
Our assembly prayers will be led by 7E in the Secondary, 3/4S in the Primary, and KG will lead the Infants assembly prayer.
Vinnies Lapathon
The Vinnies Christmas Appeal will be launching soon. Our Secondary students will take part in our annual fancy dress lapathon on Thursday November 22. Sponsorship forms will be going home shortly. Thank you for supporting this fundraising appeal of our Junior St Vincent de Paul conference.
