Literacy & Numeracy Support Program
In 2019, our intervention program assisted almost 60 students. Year 7, 8, 9 and 10 students received either classroom support or individual one on one literacy or numeracy support to bridge learning gaps at Shepparton High School.
Each year, the program has demonstrated its success through improved results, self-confidence and educational growth of participating students. This year, the students on our program continued this success by demonstrating student growth academically and on Tuesday 2nd December, we celebrated the successes with these students with a lunch party consisting of pizza, soft drink and icy pole.
The effort put in by our tutors and team is highly valued and we thank them for their dedication this year. The literacy tutors were Julie Forster and Beth Hatton. The numeracy tutors were Jake Maples and Emmily Sowter. Additional literacy and numeracy support was also provided to our indigenous students by Tahlia Cooper.
