LANGUAGES - Languages Opens Doors

SISTER SCHOOL EXCHANGE

Final arrangements are being made for the 2016 exchange with our sister school in France. Hosting families are being finalised and itineraries fine-tuned. 

There is still the opportunity to participate as a host family for one of the French students, or to offer to be an emergency family, in case of unforeseen circumstances arising among the host families leading to an inability to host.

A reminder to those Lilydale High School students travelling to France in March 2016 to bring a copy of their passport front page to Mrs Stoyanoff as soon as possible. 

LANGUAGE PERFECT

Language Perfect has undergone some changes during the past months. Now they are operating a new App called Education Perfect to reflect a broader range of subjects offered by the company. 

All students using the Language Perfect App will need to delete it and then upload the new Education Perfect App. Scores accumulated during the year will transfer over to the new App. 

Education Perfect have added self-directed Cultural and Grammar components which will add a new dimension to the learning of French and Indonesian. Feedback from students has been positive and the majority continue to use the App to increase their knowledge of vocabulary and grammar. 

The App will again be used in 2016 and the annual subscription can be paid for at Lilydale Books as part of the booklist.

2016 TEXTBOOKS

French and Indonesian

Year 7 French and Indonesian students are reminded that they will need to retain their current books to be used in 2016. 

If a textbook or workbook has been misplaced, it will be necessary to purchase a replacement copy.

French students are using theLe Kiosque Textbook in Year 8 in 2016.  

Please note that a new Textbook will be on the booklist for students in Years 7, 9 and 10 in 2016.
