FROM THE PRINCIPAL

PRINCIPAL FOR THE DAY

We recently welcomed Hilary Shelton the Chief Executive Officer for the Australian Council for Health Physical Education and Recreation Victoria (ACHPER).

The Principal for a Day initiative is an annual event that is aimed at making links with industry and not for profit organisations such as ACHPER.

Hilary had a very productive day engaging with students and staff and taking part in a Kahootz quiz with Mr Valance and the Year 12 Biology students.

BOX HILL INSTITUTE - Lilydale Campus

On Monday October 19, a group of year 9 students represented Lilydale High School at the announcement of the re opening of the Swinburne University site.

Box Hill Institute was announced as the new owners.  A great outcome for the Yarra Valley community.

Courses will begin in February 2016.  This will include certificate and diploma courses.  The Technical school which is on the same site, will be in the development stages throughout 2016.

Thank you to the students from 9.05 who came over and met with the Premier Daniel Andrews and Deputy Premier and Education Minister James Merlino.

YEAR 12 FAREWELL

Hearty congratulations to our Year 12 students who completed the year in style on our annual Festivities Day on Wednesday 21 October.

It was a great opportunity for students to dress up, enjoy a party in the Hall and say farewell to their teachers.  I'm so very proud of the students and the way they conducted themselves on the day.

Thanks also to Emily Stewart and her team for their organisation on the day.
