Farewell Miss Neville

By Linda Goldrick
I find it amazing that God has created us with the ability to feel two very strong emotions at the same time that are almost opposite in their meaning. Yet that is exactly what is happening to many of us, certainly in Junior School, and probably in our community at large.
Bronwyn Neville has been a part of our lives and School Community for many years now. We know her as a capable and dedicated teacher. We all have evidenced this through the fruit that is borne from her classroom. A professional recommendation is always a great achievement, but I feel the blessing that Bronwyn has been far exceeds the pedagogy, the curriculum and the outcomes.
But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That person should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Such a person is double-minded and unstable in all they do.
James 1:6-8 (NIV)
Bronwyn has been a woman of faith. She believed and did not doubt in the promises of God. She has walked a faithful journey, loving God and trusting in his promises.
Francis of Assisi has been quoted as saying: "Witness for Christ each day and if necessary use words." This genuine witness to faith in God, I believe, has been one of Bronwyn’s higher achievements, that we will definitely remember her for.
Back to these conflicting emotions bubbling inside; we are all so happy that Bronwyn is starting a new season covered in the blessings of God. We wish her and John all the best as they venture forth. However, we are also saddened at the prospect of her presence no longer being at the school.
We thank you Bronwyn for all that you have achieved by loving and nurturing the children that have been in your care and we thank you for your friendship, wisdom and faith.
