Congratulations Eden
Eden Morgan (Year 5) and his sister Mietta (Year 1) are training partners in Little Athletics. On March 19, Eden competed at state level in the Little Athletics State Championships. We want to congratulate Eden for his wonderful accomplishment, acheiving first place in the Under 10s 1100m Race Walk. He competed against more than 20 other competitors in his age groups and finished with a time of 5 minutess and 58 seconds. Well done Eden!
BHCS Band
This term I have been planning the beginning of a Concert Band at BHCS. We have had one information night so far and we are collecting music, negotiating with instrumental teachers, and getting people interested in this exciting adventure. Early in Term 2, there will be a recruitment night where interested students come along to try out instruments that they might like to learn. Watch out for details about that and for application forms when they become available next term. Watch this space!

2016 ICAS Nominations
The ICAS Competition is a series of nationally administered test papers in English, Spelling, Writing, Science, Mathematics and more recently Digital
Technologies.
For the past 5 years, teachers have nominated gifted and talented students to sit the University of NSW ICAS Tests. BHCS has been blessed over this time in achieving some fantastic results – particularly last year where students achieved seven High Distinctions and even a prestigious gold medal for one of our Year 12 English students.
This year – in addition to teacher nominations – we are opening a limited number of nominations to parents who think that their child would enjoy the challenge of sitting the tests. The nomination process involves completing a form outlining why you think your child would benefit from participation.
To access this nomination form or find out more information, please email Mr Dickson - adickson@bhcs.vic.edu.au
