Roses Gap Camp

Julie Elkin

VCAL Coordinator

23 VCAL students attended camp at the Roses Gap Recreation Centre in the northern part of the Grampians. They enjoyed various activities such as canoeing, giant swing, archery, abseiling, bushwalking and challenges such as Low Ropes course, the Vertical Playground and The Pamper Pole. The students demonstrated great endeavour to overcome some of their fears and everyone showed great teamwork and cooperation. Thanks to Brad Smallman, Fran Forsyth and Julie Elkin for accompanying the students.

Social Gathering

Some of the VCAL students have been busy organising activities to meet their outcomes. Courtney, Cam and Tiffany conducted a round robin of Soft Drink Pong, Round the Table table tennis, quoits and balloon skills. They were treated to wood-fired oven pizzas, capably made by the Nik, Nenad, Alen, Daniel and Tom. It was a great success and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Well done.

Out and About

EAL VCAL students were out and about in the local community, promoting our Multicultural Day on October 24th. They were in national costumes and looked fantastic.
