SENIOR SUB-SCHOOL NEWS
The end of year is drawing nearer for our senior students but our students and staff will not be easing off any time soon. Unit 3 and 4 exams begin on the 21st October with one student doing Persian and then the main exam period begins on the 29th October with the English exam and culminate with Indonesian on 19th November. These exams will be held in the drama room at NGSC.
Students should be winding up their final SACs and beginning to set themselves up for a rigorous revision period. Staff have been dedicated to this preparation, have organized classes and a practice exam for every subject on these holidays.
Holiday classes
Monday 22nd September – Thursday 25th September
Practice exams
Tuesday 30th September to Thursday 2nd October
*The timetables for these have already been sent home.
I have been greatly impressed by the dedication all staff have offered their students to give them a good chance to perform at their best on the exams. This must be supported with students being highly organized with their revision. To also get the best out of this revision period we strongly encourage all students to maintain a good sleeping routine, keeping adequately hydrated, eat well and find times to relax through exercise or recreation.

Year 11 students should be making the most of the holidays to ensure all required work is up to date. Make sure your chapter summaries are done, get those mind maps in order to assist your study, practise doing some questions for Maths, re-read any novels and go over your notes. Come back in Term 4 ready to ask any questions on things you need clarifying, and seek the assistance of your teachers out of class time. Exams are not that far away!!
