JUNIOR SCHOOL NEWS

Oliver Reeve

Junior Sub-School Manager

This week the Junior Sub School had our last assembly of the term. It was a great pleasure to use this time to reward nearly 190 students across Years 7 to 9 for their excellent attendance during Term Three. These students have an attendance rate that is greater than 90% this term, which is equivalent to less than 6 days of absence. At North Geelong, we all want our students to get a great education, and the building block for a great education begins with our students coming to school, on time every day. I would like to say a very big congratulation to all those students who received certificates for good attendance.

I would like to give a special commendation to the following students. Each of these students had less than one day of absence during Term Three.

On Wednesday 10th September North Geelong Secondary College held a Parent-Teacher Interview Day. It was wonderful to see so many students and their families engaging in positive conversations with our staff about your child’s achievements as well as areas for improvement. If you were unable to attend on this day or would like to contact your child’s subject teachers please do not hesitate to contact me at the college (or the subject teachers directly) so that these conversations can be held. If you have not yet received your Child’s Semester Two Interim Report, then I would also recommend that you contact me at the college, so that I can organise for a new copy of the report to be sent home. Alternatively, our students are able to access a digital copy of their current and past reports by logging onto the Student Portal via the College website (below) and selecting the ‘Student & Parent Portal’ tab.  www.ngsc.vic.edu.au

I would like to wish all students and their families a restful break and we look forward to seeing you at the start of Term Four.
