Happenings in Year 1
In Religion we are learning about creation and the sabbath as a day of rest.
In Maths students used directional and positional language when playing noughts and crosses. They also directed spheros using this language.
Students also had the opportunity to solve word problems using QR codes.
In English students have been writing letters for VCOP letter exchange which will be sent all over Australia. These will have random acts of kindness included which will become a part of their Advent calendar.
During PE students are continuing to improve their passing and catching skills.
Year 1 was fortunate to have Mr Blake Mitchell from Ascent footwear for a visit to inform and refresh them about tying shoelaces.
