                       Classroom News

We are well into Term 4 and have been engaged in a variety of activities. We are completing many assessments at the moment, and have a very busy 6 weeks coming up. We will be having our Leadership Day in Week 8, where the students will be writing and performing their speeches for leadership roles in 2021.

Primary classes will watch videos of these speeches, and then voting will occur.

We invite you to chat with your child to discuss if they are wanting to try for a leadership role, and perform a speech.

                                 English

We are continuing our Literacy focus with the book 'Rules of Summer' and 'Where the Wild Things Are', and relating this to our leadership focus.

Students will complete the Term 4  'Cold Write' this week.

                               Religion

Our focus over the next couple of weeks is the unit: 'We Celebrate the Sacraments', with specific reference to Penance and Holy Orders.

                            Mathematics

In Mathematics we are continuing with our Number and Algebra unit this week and then will move onto a Multiplication and Division unit next week. Students participated in some great activities in Number and Algebra and were engaged with a variety of number games and lessons. These are some students playing a game where they had to design a series of clues for a number and other students had to work out the number based on the clues.

                         Science and PDHPE

In Science, we have begun a new unit related to 'Forces' and will continue this over the next few weeks. In Personal Development and Health we are looking at 'Being Healthy' and having healthy bodies. In PE we have been practising our skipping skills and our Touch football skills.

                            Technology

We are continuing to ask parents to have regular discussions with your children about the technology they are using and how to use technology safely and appropriately.
