Armidale Diocesan Gala Day

Schools from across the Diocese participated in the 2020 Gala Day last week. It was so fantastic to give our Stage 3 students the opportunity to participate in the Netball & Touch Football gala day in Tamworth after a year of next to no sporting opportunities due to Covid-19. Students loved the opportunity to play against fellow schools, encouraged each other and developed teamwork throughout the day. Holy Trinity had 4 Touch Football teams attend and 1 Netball team. A few of our teams were successful in making Semi-Finals, but our Trinity Red Touch team won the Grand Final 3-0. The team consisted of Makayde Goldman, Olivia Selig, Isaac Whan, Kade Schneider, Oscar Monie, Phoebe Horner, Ella Glasson, Ewan Woods and Koby Maddigan-Darby. A big thank you to Mr Baz, Miss Gartshore, Mrs Stewart and Miss McNeil for giving up their time to train teams during Snack Break in the lead up to the day.

Stage 2 Sport

This term Stage 2 students will participate in a variety of activities such as Tribes & Territories, Volleyball, Small Games and Continuous Cricket. Students will also go bushwalking at Lake Inverell. In Week 8, 3/4A will go, and 3/4W & 3/4G will go in Week 9. 

Stage 3 Swimming

This term, as part of the Stage 3 Sports program, we are taking all children to the Town Pool for stroke development, water safety procedures, rescues and to participate in water activities. Students have been placed in a variety of groups and supervised by classroom teachers and aides. Students will travel to the pool by bus from 1:50pm – 3:00pm each Friday. Cost will be $3.40 each week for pool entry (season passes may be used, but students will need to bring these with them each week). 

Year 1 Swimming

This is the final week of the Year 1 swimming program. All children have shown improvement in their water confidence, stroke development, water safety procedures, rescues and general participation in water activities. Students will travel to the pool by bus again this week on Thursday from 1:50pm – 3:00pm.
