Spelling Bee

Congratulations to all of our K-6 students who participated in our school Spelling Bee this term. Finals for each Year Group were held in the school hall. A big thank you to Mr Baz for organising the event. Overall champions were as follows:

Year 3-6 Activities Week

This week Stage 3 and Stage 2 students are participating in a variety of activities  in lieu of their excursions. Year 4 students may wear plain clothes Thursday & Friday, Year 3 students Friday and Stage 3 students may wear them Wednesday and Thursday.

 

Year 6 students will have a movie and pizza evening on Thursday from 5:30 to 8:00pm. Parents are reminded that they can not come into school due to Covid-19 restrictions and that children need to be collected from the school car parking area promptly at 8:00pm.

This will then be followed by Year 6 Mass on Friday morning at the Sacred Heart Church.

Year 6 to 7 Transition Day & Year 5 Leadership Day

As part of their activities week this week, Year 6 have been invited into the Secondary school to have a transition day and experience what it is like to be in High School. Students from other schools, such as Glen Innes, will also be joing them. While this is happening Year 5 students will be participating in Leadership and Team Building activities.

Year 2 Sprinkler Fun!

This Thursday Year 2 students will participate in a water play afternoon at school while Year 1 are at the pool. Students will need to bring:

a soft brimmed hat that can get wet; sun safe clothing - either swimmers & a rashie, or a set of clothes that can get wet (no singlet tops); thongs/crocs/water shoes/an old pair of joggers to wear (just in case there are some burrs in the grass); towel; sunscreen and a spare bag to put wet belongings in.

Year 2 playground Transition

Year 2 students will now have the opportunity to spend two of their Snack Breaks each Tuesday & Thursday in the Primary playground to test out the bigger equipment, the larger playing spaces and acquaint themselves with the area and rules before they move to Year 3 in 2021. This will continue until Week 9.

School Uniform

Students must be in full Summer school uniform. Students must have black leather or vinyl shoes – not canvas. All students in K-6 must have a school bucket hat – no hat, no play. If your child does not have the correct uniform, please send in a note to their classroom teacher.
