Senior School Update

Congratulations to our Year 12 students who endured an incredibly tough year full of uncertainty yet approached it with impressive resilience. Although we could not run events in their usual format to celebrate the end of six years of secondary school, we were still able to celebrate end of classes at an entertaining final assembly with some impressive dance and music acts. We were also to hold a twilight picnic to celebrate the end of exams. See photos of our far more relaxed students at the event!

We look forward to celebrating the accomplishments of our Year 12s with them next year at the Valedictory. Please note that the date for the Valedictory has moved to 7pm Friday 26th March 2021 at the Karralyka Centre in Ringwood. Students should have provided a contact email and phone number via a survey on Teams. We will use these details to announce when tickets go on sale for the event.

Jumpstart

Year 10 and 11 students began their Year 11 and 12 classes and met their new teachers to finish off their schooling for this year. Students were informed in their Jumpstart classes of the expectations in each subject and were given an overview of the content and assessments. Although all students should most definitely give themselves a break now, students in 3/4 subjects are expected to complete some holiday homework in January in preparation for 2021.

To round off 2020, Year 10 students, led by the 2021 Year 11 Leaders, ran their own day of activities involving trivia, board games, mindfulness, sport and movies. It was a fun and relaxing way to bring to an end a challenging year where students spent almost two terms learning remotely.
