Duke of Edinburgh

This year has been a very interesting one for Duke of Ed students. In the short time we have been on campus, students have attended two full day excursions, completed their Level 2 First Aid certificate, practised camping skills and perfected their cooking on a Trangia.

In their own time students have had to adapt their activities and goals for the different areas of their Award and shown a great level of flexibility in doing so. Some students have managed to complete their entire Award, with the exception of their Adventurous Journey, which is a great accomplishment during these difficult times.

Unfortunately we have had to delay our camp until the end of next year, but this necessary set back has the benefit of providing time for students to finish logging their hours now that more activities are opening up again. We will continue to provide support for all 2020 Duke of Ed students to compete their Award going forward.

Recently some students from previous years have achieved their Duke of Edinburgh Award and we warmly congratulate them. Well done to all past and current Duke of Ed students on your successes this year.
